Sargent Cherry

The Sargent cherry (Prunus sargentii) is one of nine cherry trees that were planted outside the old entrance to the nature centre last year. This tree is native to Russia, Korea and Japan and can reach 20m in height. In the spring it has pink flowers but at the moment it has eye catching orange-red leaves.
