Ross's snow goose

These are a small species from North America. They breed in the north of Canada and migrate to the southern United States for the winter. The sexes look alike, although the male or gander is generally larger.

Females incubate the eggs whilst the male guards the nest, once the goslings leave the nest both parents protect them from predators.
