Dry Donkeys

This Christmas has been incredibly wet, contributing to the wettest year on record in England.

As donkeys are descended from desert dwelling species they don’t have a waterproof coat, so although they don’t mind the cold they can’t afford to get wet; so our donkeys have been spending much of the winter so far in their shelter at the end of our stable block or in a stable depending how wet and windy it is.

However, when the rain has let up they have enjoyed their time in the sand school where they and the ponies are able to stretch their legs and have a good run.
