Penguin Fish

Penguin fish

Penguin fish (Thayeria boehlkei) area a small shoaling species from the rivers of Brazil and Peru. These black and white fish often swim at a 45 degree angle. When spawning the female will produce up to a 1000 eggs at a time, many of these will be eaten as will the tiny fry when they hatch.

Our fish spawn regularly and some of the shoal members are from these breedings.
