Above is a male electric blue gecko (Lygodactylus williamsi), these small lizards can only be found in a small area of forest in Tanzania. They have recently been listed as a critically endangered species due to severe habitat loss and capture for the pet trade.
Whilst the male is a vivid blue the female is green and as with most geckos they lay clutches of just one or two eggs. We have bred them and the hatchlings measure just a few millimetres.
Ours are fed on fruit flies, crickets, fruit and nectar mix.
