Nesting Peacock Pheasant

Incubating peacock pheasant

Our grey peacock pheasant began incubating today, as usual they are the first of our pheasant species to start breeding. The nest is a typically simple pheasant affair, consisting of a scrape under a bush. These birds lay just two eggs in a clutch and incubation lasts for 22 days.
