Children meet minibeasts

This morning we were pleased to host some children from the Chagossian community based in Crawley, as part of a ZSL project.

The first part of the morning was spent in the woods looking for minibeasts and despite the chilly weather they found an decent range of animals from woodlice and slugs to millipedes and even a frog.

After this they helped to feed the meerkats and finally had a hands on classroom with our more exotic minibeasts, including the amazingly camouflaged leaf insect.
