‘STAR At Home’: Fun activities

There are so many things you can reuse, make or ‘upcycle’ to extend the lifetimes and usage of different items. Swiching to a Reusable has never been easier! Check out some of the reusable items you can make in our Creature Crafts videos below!

Believe it or not, you can make a face mask out of a sock! We recommend that you keep any socks that you are currently wearing on your feet, but if you have a lonely sock without a partner, a hole in the toe that refuses to be darned or have some that you don’t mind chopping up, follow our step by step video of how to make your own (no sew!) facemask!

This next activity is a fun and easy way to reduce your plastic at home! Beeswax wraps are a great substitute for disposable food wraps such as cling film. All you need to do is wipe them down after use and they are ready to use again and again! Pick some snazzy fabrics and get started!

The crowning jewel of any cupboard under the stairs is a big pile of plastic bags. Sadly, plastic bags are not very sustainable, because not only do they break easily, but they also will not break down properly when thrown away for a very long time. Instead, why not repurpose some old clothes and make them into a reusable bag! Prolong the life of your favourite T shirt with this simple craft activity!
