How can I visit the Nature Centre?

It is essential to book tickets online.

All members of a group will require a ticket, including adults and all children, even those under the age of two.

We will be releasing tickets one week at a time. These tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Please book several days ahead to avoid disappointment.

Crawley residents can access discounted tickets by using their myCrawley account when booking. Valid proof of residence must then be shown on entry e.g. utility bill or driving licence.

The following measures have also been put in place:

  • Signage to remind staff and visitors of physical distancing and handwashing guidelines
  • One-way visitor route around the centre
  • The Discovery Room, Madagascar house and Americas house remain closed
  • Hand sanitising points available around the zoo
  • Regular cleaning carried out across the entire zoo
  • Keeper Talks have been cancelled until further notice in order to prevent overcrowding
  • Nature Centre toilets will be open
  • The gift shop remains closed

Is there any reason why I should not visit the centre?

We respectfully ask that people take responsibility for their own health and the health of the community before visiting the centre. Please do not choose to visit if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or have any underlying health conditions that may put you at risk. If you are vulnerable in any way, it is your responsibility to make the right choice for yourself and others around you.

Can the animals contract the virus? What are you doing to protect them?

Global experts currently do not know all of the effects COVID-19 has on humans and animals. We have been closely monitoring the situation and following the recommended guidelines. Our expert team of keepers and consultant vets are taking every precaution to ensure the safety of all animals and staff. During this difficult time, our dedicated team continues to ensure that all animals under their care enjoy the same amount of love and attention that they are used to receiving all year round.
