A fifth Johnstone’s chameleon hatched yesterday, this egg had taken 156 days to hatch and as you can see below the baby weighed just 1g.
Slightly heavier than the young lizard are our pair of pancake tortoises. These came from Longleat Safari park in April as part of a co-ordinated European breeding programme. They were both bred in 2010 so are still growing and have been putting on weight consistently since their arrival.
